Q: How do I activate the gas and electricity?
A: To have your electric and/or natural gas service turned on, contact National Grid at 1-800-642-4272, or visit National Grid’s website. When you call to order your electric and/or natural gas service, the National Grid service representative will ask for the following information:
- Your complete names, address, and telephone number
- The kind of service you are requesting
- When you would like the service connected
- Social Security number, driver’s license number, credit card number, or student identification number
- If you have had National Grid service in your name, the representative will ask for your previous address
