Q: How does my son or daughter activate local telephone service?
A: To order telephone service, contact Verizon at 315-890-7100. When calling to order your phone service, the Verizon service representative will ask for the following information:
- Complete name and address
- Type of service being requested
- The name of the long-distance carrier, if any, that has been chosen
- How the directory listing should appear
- The caller’s previous address and telephone number
- Other credit information
